Sales Development Representative

As we scale into the next phase, we are looking for a Vancouver or Toronto -based Sales Development Representative to join our sales team!
The Role
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the SDR will be responsible for outreach to generate qualified opportunities for our sales team. Outreach will include cold calling and emailing, as well as taking advantage of our thousands of existing leads in our CRM as well as on social media. The SDR will be a key member of the team, working cross-functionally in an exciting start-up environment to prospect, educate, qualify, and nurture sales-ready leads.
The SDR plays a critical role in CoPilot AI’s ambitious growth plans and seamlessly combines industry knowledge, innovative vision, emotional intelligence, thought leadership, and a solutions-driven approach to promote excellence in alignment with CoPilot AI’s people-first culture.
What you’ll do:
- Results Oriented: You are driven to smash goals, targets, KPIs.
- Prospecting: Hunting for potential leads and target accounts like a detective!
- Inbound/Outbound Communication: Chatting with leads and reaching out to prospects via phone, email, or social media to spark their interest and qualify.
- Discovery Calls: Having friendly conversations to understand prospect needs and see if we're a perfect fit.
- Book Demos: Setting up demos with our rockstar Account Executives.
- Confirmation Tasks: Making sure our prospects show up for their scheduled demos by giving them a gentle nudge.
- CRM Management: Keeping our CRM system up-to-date with accurate information, like a wizard with data.
- Relationship Building: Building strong connections with prospects through ongoing communication and being their go-to person.
- Feedback Loop: Sharing valuable market insights to help shape our products, marketing, and sales strategies like a superhero team.
- Team Participation: Being an active and awesome team player, attending meetings, and collaborating across different departments.

Who you are:
- Previous sales development experience in a SaaS organization
- An ambitious self-starter who is willing to learn, innovate and exceed personal goals
- A fast learner with an eye for detail
- Excellent communicator, written and verbal
- Motivated with a great attitude and work ethic
- You take rejection well and can come up with creative ways to tap into new opportunities
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with team members, management, and external partners

- Competitive Compensation: A competitive annual base salary between the range of $55,000-$62,000 and an annual OTE (on target earnings) of $75,000 - $82,500 CAD

Our Interview Process

Phone Screen: A 30-minute audio Zoom call with a member of our People & Culture team or the hiring manager to align on the position, share context about our team and goals, and learn about your interests, skills and experiences.
- Competency Interview: A 1 hour Zoom call with our Senior Sales Manager and a member of the Sales team. We'll ask you to prepare for a 15 minute role play intro call scenario in advance. Then, you'll have 10 minutes to share with us why you would be a great addition to the team! The remaining time will be allocated for behavioural questions that target role-specific competencies.
- Culture Add Interview: A 1 hour Zoom call or in person meeting with a Senior Manager or Executive and a rotating Account Executive to assess your alignment with our core values and core competencies. We pride ourselves on having a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative culture where all CoPilotteers are empowered to make decisions and drive our collective success.
- Offer and Reference Checks: If you’ve made it this far, our Director of Sales will give you a call to share the good news with you! We’ll ask you for two professional references and send over the formal offer documents. Then it’s simply a countdown until your start date!
